The base of operations for our visit was the elegant Regent Beverly Wilshire.

We were reminded that, although we had beautiful weather—even without smog!—torrential downpours had just ended.

Wednesday night we enjoyed cocktails and dinner at the renowned Spago.

In our private dining room,

we were insulated from the din of the rest of the restaurant.

Thursday morning, we were exposed

to street art

on our way to the estate of David Geffen.

As you may expect, we were not able to photograph any of the incredible art in the private collections we visited.

We next visited the home of Lynda and Stewart Resnick.

The Burghers of Calais welcomed us to the Norton Simon Museum

as did a magnificent Buddha.
