We enjoyed an alfresco lunch

in Giverny surroundings.

We viewed selected portions of the Western Art collection ...

and the Indian Art Collection.

Some who been in Phoenix when the Phillips Collection was there initially had different ideas about what "Western" and "Indian" art included.

Later that afternoon we arrived at the Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens.

We toured their famed desert garden

and the Japanese Garden. The unseasonable cherry blossoms were in preparation for filming of Memoirs of a Geisha.

Although we also toured the Huntington Mansion and Gallery of British Art, we were only permitted to photograph in the Steele Gallery of American Art.
